On April 7th, many alumni and current students of the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology (SLSB), SJTU have joined this year’s Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Festival to celebrate the 123rd anniversary of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Homecoming opening ceremony was held in Shuhua Multi-function Hall, Life Sciences Building. Shaoling JI (Party Secretary of SLSB), Zhixin LIN (previous SLSB Dean), Wenchun LI (Party Deputy Secretary of SLSB), and Yanhong ZHANG (Student Office Director) attended the opening ceremony along with the alumni. The ceremony was hosted by Jingran XU (Alumni Association Staff)

The opening ceremony started with a welcome speech by Shaoling JI, saying that alumni were valuable to the school and the school shall always be the home for all the alumni. Zhixin LIN then reviewed SLSB’s achievements in recent years and talked about the school’s future plan. Last but not least, Wenchun LI gave a detailed introduction of the SLSB Alumni Association. During the discussion session, alumni talked about graduates career opportunities and made suggestions on undergraduates training.
